Who says there’s no tourist spot around the city? In Metro Manila, we have lots of places to go to. From historical spots to relaxing views, you don’t have to go out of town to enjoy the weekend or whenever you want to visit tourist attractions. Here are the top seven places you shouldn’t miss on the Metro.

Rizal Park

Also known as Luneta Park, this site has been a historical place on the martyrdom of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. In honor of Rizal, a monument was built and it serves as the symbolic trademark of the park. Memorial plaques and monuments were found along the area to educate and guide the strollers. You can have a picnic, take photos, ride horses or the Thomas train, or create your very own music video of naghahabulang lovers. Just kidding!

Fort Santiago

This structure is part of Intramuros, the oldest district of Metro Manila. Dr. Jose Rizal was imprisoned here before his execution. Different monuments, forts, and statues may be located on the “walled city”.

Manila Ocean Park

Enjoy the under-the sea feeling on the attractions of this place such as the Oceanarium, Dancing Sea Fairies, Fish Spa, pool, Musical Fountain Show, Astronaut Voyage and Marine Life Habitat.

Manila Zoo

For some exotic safari adventure, Manila Zoo is a place to go. It is the first and oldest zoo in Asia, and the largest in the Philippines with a maximum number of visitors daily.

Baywalk of Roxas Blvd.

Watch sunset then view the city lights. Baywalk is the perfect place to wind down your day.

Nayong Pilipino

When you want to experience a cultural and historic tour of the Philippines without traveling around the entire country, this village theme park is best suited for you.

Manila Cathedral

This cathedral is first established as a church during the sixteenth century. It is a prominent Roman Catholic basilica honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary as Our Lady of Immaculate Concepcion, the Patroness of the Philippines.
